The Pocono Liars Club and What fantasy character would you like to go on a quest with?

Insecure Writers Want to Know

I’ll get to the Pocono Liars Club business. But first the IWSG question. I’m thinking fantastical beasts in this question. I don’t really read or watch fantasy. But I like Harry Potter. So, if I’m going on any quests, I’d like to have a hippogriff, please. After all, the beast didn’t die in the Harry Potter series. And I like both horses and large birds.

Think about it. If the bad guy is after me, I could just fly away on the hippogriff. As long as the bad guy doesn’t have cannons or airplanes or something to fly on, I should be good. I could see farther and get to places quicker than walking or even horseback riding on the ground. And I believe hippogriffs come with a built in GPS. I always thought it would be cool to have the ability to fly up in the air.

Now onto the Pocono Liars Club.

If you are looking for an informative and free in-person Writers Conference, where you can connect with other writers, you can’t do better than the Pocono Liars Club Writers’ Conference held on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

This conference is held at Eastern Monroe Public Library’s Hughes Library branch in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. You need to register for this event at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2025-pocono-writers-conference-tickets-1256888660819. These five authors and editors are also available for smaller sessions during the presentations where you can get individual critiques and comments. If you are in the area, I’d love to see you there!

So, I’m still moving forward with publication of my narrative college memoir, Determination: Mother of Five Conquers College. It publishes next month on May 6, 2025. I’ve got an up-to-date author photo.

My back jacket copy is ready. The cover reveal is coming in my April 5th newsletter. Sign up for the FREE, monthly newsletter here to see it.

My Business Insider essay about needing to drop my Statistics I course early in my college career has been published. You can find it here: https://www.businessinsider.com/mother-enrolled-college-midlife-2025-3

So, dear IWSG friends, how about you? What fantasy character would you like to be with? Why?

Thank you for stopping by my little spot on the web. Please come again!
